Terms and Conditions of Hire

Ordering

  1. All orders will be confirmed in writing from us (the supplier) & you (the Hirer)
  2. Verbal acceptance is not binding until written confirmation is received (Email or letter)
  3. Once confirmation is received from us (the supplier) it is the responsibility of the hirer to check all details are correct and inform immediately if this is not the case.
  4. All prices quoted are Exclusive of VAT.
  5. A deposit of 25% of full hire price is required on order (subject to a minimum of £50), and full payment in addition to deposit to be settled prior to delivery day (Deposit then acts as a breakage deposit, returned in full after satisfactory inspection of returned goods at our warehouse).
  6. Standard hire period is 3 days but longer terms can be arranged at request.

Delivery & collection

  1. Delivery and collection charges may apply, we offer free delivery and collection to premise within 30 miles radius of our warehouse. Charged at 50p per mile thereafter.
  2. Deliveries are to ground floor level only unless prior arranged.
  3. Health and safety will always be a paramount on deliveries and we refuse the right to deny delivery if conditions are unsuitable and without prior notice.
  4. On delivery any shortages or damages must be reported immediately, once hire period has started (delivery made and no shortage claim made) no shortage claim can then be made on collection.
  5. All items must be cleaned prior to collection or return, (we offer a full clean service that can be arranged prior to collection)
  6. All goods must be ready and available for collection from a single area at specified time if not late return charges may apply.
  7. All restrictions and uneven terrains or delivery issues that may arise, must be stated on order if not charges may apply.
  8. Collected goods will be inspected on return to our warehouse.
  9. Collections may be made from our warehouse free of charge, and returned to our warehouse free of charge.

Damages

  1. All damages, breakages and loss will be charged at the replacement rate for the item, it is with this in mind that we recommend the Hirer insures these items when hiring.
  2. If damages exceed deposit amount an invoice will be raised for the balance.
  3. Any lost items if returned with 30 days will be credited thereafter, no substitutes allowed.

Cancellations

  1. Charges apply below for cancellations

Within 4-2 weeks of hire period – deposit only charged

Within 2 weeks of hire period – 50% of invoice

Within 1 week of event – full invoice total charge applies

Liabilities

The equipment remains property of JD Catering Equipment Solutions Ltd at all times

The hirer is responsible for the safekeeping of all equipment during the hire period from delivery to collection, including but not limited to the elements, theft, vandalism and improper usage.

No responsibility can be accepted for injury caused by the use of equipment hired.
